| Good points - "Internet availability (either plug-in or WiFi would be good)" | |
| Bad points - "This is going to look negative, which is not how a feel about the hotel at all. I suspect that this hotel is due for a major refit - which would in some ways be a pity. It seems to be original '60s design possibly renewed once since and, as such, is a pleasant reminder that hotels don't have to be Victorian or ultra-modern. I don't think it would match current standards for disabled access (many rooms only accessible via stairs - no lift). Reception was quick and effecient - even if the breakfast times given were slightly incorrect. Large pile of The Independent stacked next to reception. Breakfast prices very reasonable and quality quite decent. Room had a TV - channels were BBC 1&2, ITV1, C4, Sky News, & a couple of Sky Sport channels. No radio channels (would have liked to see BBC RĀ£, R4, & Classic FN), no C5, the Sky one wasn't - it was something else from sky continuously advertising Sky Plus. No telephone (there was an alarm call system), no Internet." | |
| Value for money - Good Check in - Good Room - Good | |
| Maintenance - Fair Cleanliness - Good Staff - Fair Overall - Good | |
