Description We are a beautiful 3-star country house hotel and Hereford wedding venue, set in 4 acres of parkland with beautiful views. The hotel is ideally located on the A49 just 6 miles from Hereford and 8 miles from Ross-on-Wye, on the original route that pilgrims took to visit the shrine of St Ethelbert. Guests can be assured of a good night's sleep in this peaceful location. Most rooms have superb views across the Golden Valley. The cosy bar has a roaring log fire in winter and access to the gardens during the summer. There is a range of snacks available at lunchtime and in the evenings. Our award-winning restaurant looks out over the gently rolling Herefordshire hills and in the evening it is the perfect location for a romantic candlelit dinner. | Overall - "I thought the 3 nights for the price of 2 was very good. However, we were unfortunate that the friday night stay was cancelled by the hotel due to unforeseen circumstances (burst water tank). However, they were quick to tell us, and the 2 nights were at the same rate as we would have paid for 3 nights. A good stay, with excellent food at the hotel." | |

| Overall - "Food was excellent and large portions. Very pleasant restaurant and bar. Wonderful valley view. Set back from busy road, very quiet nights, very relaxing time. Some noise transmitted from adjacent rooms, not very private in that respect. Staff could not do enough to help and made to feel very at home. Will defintely return!" | |
