| Bad points - "The Manor House is an absolutly idyllic hotel, with beautiful grounds surrounding an incredible 17th century home. The common areas and bedrooms are filled with beautiful antiques and rugs. The dining room prepares wonderful dinners, including fantastically presented desserts (the strawberry presentaion included a mini-strawberry milkshake, along with 3 or 4 other stawberry offerings). The staff is extremely attentive and service oriented. Our room was quite large (a junior suite), with loveseat, over-stuffed chair, desk and chair, chest of drawers, TV, and a queen size bed. The shower and bath tub were in a separate room, as was the toilet and bidet. The furnishings need a bit of updating; the upholstery on the loveseat was quite worn, as were the bedspread and carpet. Scented pillows were brought to our room, upon request. Coffee was delivered to the room each morning, along with a daily newspaper. Overall, we had a lovely experience at the Manor House and would recommend it to anyone." | |
