| Overall - "On the basis that we paid £400 for one night's stay, I think the value for money was extremely poor. The room was adequate (on the basis that we booked the night before, this is understandable). We were told our dinner reservation of 20:30 was confirmed and yet were only taken in at 21:45 (if we had known we would have had to wait so long, we would have gone somewhere else). Upon ordering wine, the first bottle that arrived at our table was incorrect. The second bottle was off and sent back by the wine waiter (who incidentally was literally dripping with sweat from seemingly serving the entire restaurant). After complaining about our experiences at dinner, we were told that we would not be charged for the wine. Upon check out, the bill did not reflect this and then had to wait approx 30 mins to have this sorted out (whilst experiencing a rather embarassing situation and rather hostile receptionists). The fact that we had to wait 1 hour and 15 mins for a single cup of tea to also be delivered to our room just before check out just added insult to injury. In fact, I still dont know whether this ever turned up as we had to leave the room and conform to your 11am check out time (on a Sunday?). Lastly, being faced with a sorry we are too busy when phoning back to see if we had left something in our room, is not acceptable. Overall, your customer service levels are extremely poor and all in all we had a very unsatisfactory stay." | |
