Overall - "The location of this hotel was excellent for a break away visiting Birmingham, everything is within walking distance, or if you choose, a short taxi ride away. The hotel has a phone link directly to a taxi service which i feel is an excellent facility. however, a double room, even when booked via the internet for a short break should be just that, not a family room! the showering facility was very basic, and each time a shower was taken the bathroom flooded and had to be mopped up using the towels, there was soap left from the previous guest, and the table in the room was broken, which we reported. If i had paid full value for the room, approx £80 i would certainly have complained. However, the room served the purpose for somewhere to sleep, i would just have liked it to be that bit more special for a weekend break away. If i book again, i would request that the room had a bath and a shower, and that it was a double room, not a family room. On previous visits to this hotel, i have found the service excellent and the quality of other rooms excellent, so hopefully next time i will get a better room !!"
Good points - "accessability for the City of Birmingham"
Bad points - "As we had booked a double room, we got a family room, which was very cramped, and the shower was not upto the standard i would have expected for a hotel of this caliber."
