Description The Pilstyes is a grade 2 listed village house situated in the north end of Lindfield High Street. The house was built in 1575 and is divided into two cottages. The owner, Roy and Carol, live in one and let the other. The cottage has its own entrance from the High Street and combines many period features such as exposed wall and ceiling oak timbers and leaded light windows to the front elevation. It is the quintessential English cottage that everyone dreams about, however, it is all modern conveniences. 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport, London is 45 mins by train. The Bluebell Railway, Ashdown Forest, Sheffield Park, Wakehurst Place, Leonardslee, Nymans, Brighton (15 miles) away Borde Hill Gardens are but a few of the interesting places to visit locally with Sissinghurst and Hever etc within easy driving distance.
