Description
Tredarrup is beautifully situated, set amongst farmland with fantastic views across North Cornwall's Allen Valley. 18th Century Stable Cottage offers a peaceful holiday retreat and a perfect location for exploring Cornwall. Stable Cottage has been renovated to retain its character with stone walls, natural beams, cobbles, slate, granite and wood floors and in the evening sunlight, the coloured borrowed lights throw colours around the ceilings. As you enter inside the cobbled hallway there is plenty of space for coats, wellies, walking boots and sandals. Thoughtfully and stylishly furnished and decorated throughout as you enter into the main living area there is a well-equipped hand built country kitchen, and dining area at one end and living space at other end with comfy sofas, wide screen TV, freeview, DVD and for those winter evenings, column radiators and a wood burning stove. The two bedrooms consist of a large main double bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room with mosaic tiled shower cubicle, basin and toilet. And twin room where the beds can be pushed together for couples. There is also a large bathroom with luxury freestanding bath on the original slate floor - ideal for a long soak after a good day out - toilet and basin. Stable Cottage has its own outdoor courtyard at the front of the property with table and benches and at the rear in our woodland a private terrace with table and chairs, to enjoy the view and the daytime and evening sun. With access to a grass area to kick a football or enjoy the outdoor games we provide whatever your age - and alongside is our own small private woodland. Within easy reach of the North Cornish Coast, surfing at Polzeath , sailing or fishing at Rock, sandcastles at Daymer Bay, cycling along the famous Camel Trail, moorland and coastal walks. Nearby are Padstow, Tintagel, Boscastle, Bodmin Moor and the historic fishing village of Port Issac. Only half an hour from the Eden Project and 40 minutes from the Lost Gardens of Heligan. There are many local attractions for sunny or rainy days. Short breaks are to start on a Friday only 'Thank you for your hospitality. This was a lovely relaxing holiday. The stable was just delightful fantastic location & great for kids' 'A beautifully renovated barn, Stable cottage was just what we needed to wind down from a hectic life. The simple yet stylish surroundings are lovely and we will be recommending Tredarrup to our friends and family. We'll be back' 'Beautiful cottage, child friendly + v. spacious. a fab week - lovely beaches and loads of fun. Wonderful. we look forward to staying here again'
