Description Hayton is a small quiet farming village just 2 miles from the lovely little village of Allonby on the Cumbrian Coast which has wide sandy beaches, stunning views and sunsets across the Solway Firth to Scotland. It is within a short drive of the Western Lakes where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the lakes and mountains. The historic border city of Carlisle is only 30 minutes drive giving easy access to Scotland and Hadrians Wall. The house is spacious throughout yet homely and provides ideal accommodation for family get togethers, friendship groups, reunions, celebrations, interest groups etc Whether you are looking for a short break or full holiday, relaxing or action packed, Midtown House provides an ideal year round base from which to explore the beautiful and diverse landscape and heritage of the area. There is a small private swimming pool with Jacuzzi close to Hayton which can be hired. Originally part of a farm, Midtown House (c.1850) is a barn conversion which overlooks the village green. Internally it retains a wealth of exposed original beams. (Floor plan on our web site) Living/Dining Room: The multi fuel stove in the living/dining room gives a cosy focal point providing full central heating. A large dining table can accommodate everyone plus ample comfy seating for relaxation. TV, CD and DVD are available plus an information area for house/location details and visitor attractions. Kitchen: Spacious, well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer, kettle, slow cooker, electric wok plus plenty of work surface and storage for provisions Sunroom: Cane seating with door leading onto the patio area to sit and relax or have a barbecue. Upper Floor: Bedrooms - 5 Light and spacious bedrooms comprising of x2 twin rooms x1 double x2 family rooms (king size+ 1single and king size +2 singles). The upstairs lounge area has a bed settee (extra 2 guests) plus cane chairs, TV for videos and a selection of books and games. Single 'put up' bed available. Bathroom 1 - toilet, wash basin and electric shower cubicle, shaver point Bathroom 2 - with electric shower over, toilet, wash basin Parking: 4 - 5 on property Throughout the year there are many fetes, fairs, shows and festivals including the award winning Solfest, the world famous Maryport Blues Festival and beer festivals held at Cockermouth and Silloth More energetic? Try a high wire forest adventure, water sports, paint balling, go karting, cycling, golf, wind surfing etc Lovely walks, lake cruises, a visit to a museum.......Whatever your interests, there are a wealth of activities and attractions to suit all ages and abilities with a wide selection of info brochures in the house. Cask ale + hand pump/bottled ale can be supplied as we have a micro brewery. * We will require a 20% deposit of the balance when the booking is confirmed.
