Description Thurston House has 7 Apartments - This is a large Victorian house which has been converted into seven individual self-catering apartments. Thurston House is situated in a quiet location yet within a couple of minutes walk of the village centre with its shops, public houses, churches and places to eat. A few minutes walk away is the lake with boats for hire, the Launch and the steam powered Gondola offer trips on the lake. For walkers Coniston Old Man, Tarn Hows, Grizedale forest and the fells are easily accessible from the village. Coniston, located in the heart of the Lake District National Park, is an ideal centre for walking, sailing and other outdoor pursuits. Many places of interest are to be found nearby including historic houses and sites, museums, and lovely towns and villages. This second floor apartment offers a bedroom with 1 double and bunk beds, shower room, comfortable and spacious lounge with double bed (proper full size bed not sofa bed or fold-up bed), fully equipped kitchen/diner. A third of the cost of the holiday is payable to the owner within one week of booking, the balance is due 6 weeks before date of arrival. Views: 86 |
