Jameston Farm house is situated just on the edge of the village of Maidens, overlooking the isle of Arran, we are right in the middle between Culzean Castle and Tunberry Golf course . Jameston farm house has recently been renovated to a exellent standard I have a double room and a twin room, with large shared bathroom and a family room en-suite with super king size bed all rooms have colour TV's and hospitality trays, hairdryer's and iron, are available There is plenty of off road parking and storage available for cycles motorcycles or if you want you can bring your jet-ski's or boats we have storage for that, also, no charge is made for safe storage of vehicles during your stay, we have a lovely harbour where you can launch your vehicles from. or if you wish you can bring your horse and stay we have grazing here also and beautiful countryside to go hacking in. We are only a twenty minute drive away from Prestwick airport, we are also only a twenty minute drive away from Troon harbour where a regular ferry service to Ireland runs. Or a 45 minute drive away is Stranraer and from here Stena and P&O run regular sailings to Larne and Belfast. For the golf enthusiasts there is Turnberry golf course, but only twenty minutes away is royal Troon both open championship courses there are also several other good courses in the area. There is an excellent stables nearby which offers lessons to all ages and ability and hacks along the beach and into Culzean, Or if you prefer there are also daily sailings of fishing trips from Girvan harbour. Around the village of maidens there is a good selection of places to eat and to suit all budgets, just over the hill from maidens exactly one mile away is the village of Kirkoswald where you will find souter johnnie's cottage. Slightly further up the road is the burns national heritage park at Alloway in Ayr which is open all year where you will find the poet's birthplace, a world class museum collection, the burns monument, Brig o' Doon & the haunted Kirk Alloway form an enduring testament to Burns, set among the beautiful gardens and countryside of historic Alloway only fifteen minutes drive away In Ayr there is a new shopping mall just opened Ayr also offers plenty of things for the kids with a huge swing park on the shore front at low green also there is pirate Pete's Scotland biggest indoor adventure play area for kids up to 12 yrs. Nearby is the citadel centre which offers swimming flume rides and a gymnasium; there is also a bowling alley and not forgetting Ayr racecourse with regular meetings throughout the year.
