Description
Little Keills is situated 6 miles south of the village of Tayvallich, at the end of the Tayvallich Peninsula, Argyll.
The house sits on the hillside, a stones throw from 13th century Keills chapel, one of only two known locations dedicated to St Cormaig.
In its elevated position, Little Keills enjoys breathtaking and ever-changing views over the Sound of Jura to the island and Islay beyond. On clear days we have an unobstructed view to Rathlin Island and can make out the shadow of the Northern Irish shore.
Little Keills has a very high standard of accommodation with only two letting bedrooms, so you will be well looked after.
Breakfasts and dinners draw on the freshest of local Argyll ingredients.
A comfortable lounge is available for guests, with stereo, television, and open fire.
We also have a private jetty giving access to Loch na Cille, and two moorings are available (suitable for boats up to 22tons).
The Tayvallich Peninsula and mid- Argyll are rich with local heritage, wildlife, beautiful landscapes, and exotic gardens.
Popular activities include walking & cycling (through forestry trails, or in 'the wild'), watersports, wildlife spotting, and absorbing heritage.
Day trip destinations include Inverary, Oban, Kilmartin, the Crinan Canal, the Kintyre Peninsula, Gigha, Islay, and Arran.
