| Overall - "I found the Tate House to not only be very homey but friendly. The general atmosphere made me feel as if I was on vacation but not too far away from home. The convenience of the shops and restaurants nearby made staying there quite nice as well. The host was very agreeable and flexible to our needs during our stay. The rooms were very nicely furnished and comfortable unlike some of the other bed and breakfasts I have stayed at in the past. Overall a very lovely trip. Will return" | |

| Overall - "I would say the Tate House is one of the most appealing B&B's I've ever stayed at in England for freshness of decor and cleanliness. Even in sunny California, I've stayed some strange B&B's (e.g. one with a stuffed bunny motif; another with antique dolls displayed in the sitting room plus Victorian clothes hanging in the bedroom (pretty spooky). There's no dirty old lace at the Tate House! I would recommend it highly." | |
| Good points - "Fastidiously clean! Tastefully furnished! No musty smell! The Tate House has been renovated and is a far cry from a pokey little English B&B. Mr. Leo Watson, our host was accommodating and friendly with a good sense of humour. He provided an excellent vegan breakfast and was concerned about our comfort." | |
