| Overall - ""It really depends what you want out of a hotel/B & B in the first place - as a Young couple traveller I place most emphasis on proximity to buses/tubes etc., and private room facilities. The single rooms are a bit on the small side, but I've come to expect that at most places to be honest. I've paid more in the past to stay in smaller rooms with even smaller (or sometimes even less) facilities! I find complaints such as no cooked breakfast a little silly when it clearly states on the Active website blurb for this hotel that it is continental only! I'm not particularly bothered whether it's included or not, so continental is perfectly adequate for me. I always take my own toiletries/alarm clock etc. so again the lack of them doesn't bother me too much. Some parts of the place are a little shabby, and some of the towels/sheets etc. could be a little newer, but everything was clean in the room/s I stayed in. The only quibble I would have is that the surcharge for credit/debit cards is not advertised, and it was pay on arrival, so I had to go along the road to a cashpoint, but there again I guess I could have asked those questions beforehand. Overall though, the place is good enough value for money in my opinion."" |
