General Details
A real 'Highland Welcome' is offered at this home, which is a modern bungalow overlooking Loch Caroy and the Minch beyond.
Guest facilities include a lounge with a real log fire, a colour television and picturesque views of Loch Caroy. The loch views from the house are amongst the finest on the Isle of Skye.
Accommodation
The comfortably furnished bedrooms have central heating and tea and coffee making facilities.
There is 1 double/family, 1 twin/family and 1 twin room.
Please note that there are no bedrooms with en-suite facilities.
Food and Drink
A choice of full cooked Scottish breakfast or a lighter continental breakfast is offered each morning. Some vegetarian dishes are also available.
Location
If arriving on Skye from the south, travel to Broadford. Once at Broadford follow the road to Sligachan, then the A863 that leads to Dunvegan. Caroy is on the A863 Sligachan to Dunvegan road, 18 miles north of Sligachan.
Leisure
Within walking distance, at the head of Loch Caroy stand the ruins of the little Episcopal Church of St John the Baptist. This is one of the prettiest locations on the Isle of Skye. From early spring it is carpeted with flowers; snowdrops, primroses, and wild hyacinths. There are many other short walks within the vicinity of Caroy.
There is a pleasant easy walk along the shore which is right on the doorstep, that has been enjoyed by many guests at 2/3 Caroy, especially those with children.
