Description
Merry Moles is situated on the border of Somerset and Dorset with wonderful views overlooking peaceful, quiet countryside. We are only a short distance from the Hardington Nature Reserve famous for its orchids in May. Although isolated, we are only a few minutes drive from the centre of Yeovil. It is certainly an unusual property with a really lovely atmosphere - inside and out. Good parking.
Our 6 acres of garden includes a lake and various water features with a piece of "ancient woodland" running down the east border. We have just redesigned the patio area and various flower beds. We are fortunate to have really wonderful wild birds along with foxes, badgers and deer, as well as our own ornamental water fowl collection.
The inside of the house is warm, comfortable and has been refurbished and decorated over recent years. We offer 2 single rooms with basins and one double room with basin upstairs. The bathroom is across the passage with basin, bath and shower with a separate WC. The annexe downstairs, has a double bed and is self contained with en suite facilities and TV. French windows lead out onto the terrace.
We offer an excellent breakfast which could be served outside on the terrace - weather permitting! There is a good choice of reasonably priced local pubs.
