Overall - "Interesting to see the negative views expressed. I was chatting to the owner of this place and it very recently came under new management. I suspect the negative reviews are a remnant of the old management who had already sold up and had lost interest."
Good points - "Lovely food, friendly hosts and some nice beer on tap. Comfortable, warm room and a nice stay overall."
Bad points - "None."

Good points - "New owners Guy & Sara bring a lifetime's experience to revive this wonderful old inn. We knew their establishments in Wells & Coxley, followed them to Shipham!"

Overall - "would definately visit again if only to meet the locals and see what else has changed."
Good points - "We found this place by chance and we're glad that we did, the welcome in this very individual hotel was warm and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is as individual as the inn itself and was all cooked to order which was great as i have a lactose intolerance which they dealt with, with no problem. we understand the owner have been there a short while and bought it when it was very run down.......it isn't now."

Overall - "My husband and I regularly travel to the West Country and have used various hotels within the area. The message recently posted in relation to this hotel compelled me to write and put forward another view. I have found the hotel to be extremely friendly, with the food a special highlight. The menu is neither over priced or horrendous and I would highly recommend trying the hotel for yourself. It is a firm favorite with my husband and I and we will be returning soon!!"
Good points - "Local ale & cider, menu featuring local produce prepared fresh to order."
Bad points - "I have none"
