| Overall - "This is a review only of Sunday lunch. Reception excellent; aperitif - large, robust, Chardonnay. Tender roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings with very good 'oakey' Rioja. Dessert of Tart Tartin, suitably drenched with Calvados was particularly good. As I will be living in the area from February, the standard of the cuisine compares favourably with what I am accustomed to in the Belgium gastronomic countryside." | |

| Overall - "A wonderful place to stay and eat. The food and drink were stunning and the rooms clean and comfortable. You will be hard pushed to find a better B&B public house in this part of Kent. Mr Ferraro must have been terribly unlucky but people are human and mistakes can happen. I will most certainly be returning and cannot recommend the Dog highly enough." | |

| Good points - "The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. attention to detail was great,- i couldn't read the menu with my old eyes, and the next thing i knew a pair of reading glasses appeared at the table from the waiter without my even asking. the food was wonderful and we had a great breakfast in bed on the sunday morning to comlete a great stay. I recommend this as a great local getaway, or perfect base for seeing Kents qualities." | |
